Prony Resources participates in the Nouméa Women’s Forum

The second edition of the Nouméa Women’s Forum took place this year whose theme was: the handcrafted business.

Many participants were there: SLN, CMA, Prony Resources, INIATIATIVES NC, CCI or even ADIE.

Prony Resources teams have participated on the RSE topic by putting forward Human Resources points as well as Community Relations.

The mission to elaborate a Human Resources politic through a feminine view has permitted to reach to:

  • Management Committee: 4 women including our President over 7 men
  • The increase of the number of women in the company
  • An active participation in events around the Women topic
  • A study is in progress with the collaboration of social partners to identify potentially wage gaps between men and women and engage concrete actions if necessary

Finally, the setting up of community’s actions from Prony Resources towards women’s handcraft. A wide actions scope for the community relations team.

A photo exhibit on women from Prony Resources has been held on the wharf of the ferry in Nouméa.

The aim was to underline the woman has her whole place in the mining and metallurgical industry. From an operator of mining machines, going through a welder or even a buyer.

Women are taking an important place in our sustainable development strategy: PRNC commits to fight discrimination and to guarantee equal opportunities.
